A Poem In Your Pocket

Still I Soar!

You come under the guise of a smile
All the while planning my demise.
Claiming your undying love
Taking away the void
But what you really want is to break me, bring me to my knees while you take me to a place of loathing
Regretting I ever allowed you to
Decompose my soul
Disguise as my knight control by your lies and deceptions
Imprisoned in your web of visual false perceptions
Come to find out you are nothing but a mortal
Lame in your attempt to morph into
A shining armor
You are not him
Why don’t you know
Man with broken limb
I’am woman without me you
Are as weak as snow
Come stay if you must
my rules not yours
With or without you
Still I soar.
